Jimmye (King) McAdams, 73, of China Spring, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle on April 12, 2025.

Visitation: 5pm to 7pm Thursday, April 17, 2025 at Lake Shore Funeral Home

Celebration of Life:  10am Friday, April 18, 2025 at Lake Shore Funeral Home with Pastor L.D. Howard officiating.

Interment: China Spring Cemetery

Jimmye was born on November 5, 1951, in Fort Hood, Texas. Jimmye was the firstborn child to Lt. Colonel James J. King and Betsy (Honea) King. Jimmye lived in many different places throughout her childhood and graduated from China Spring High School in 1969. Following graduation, she married the love of her life, Earl McAdams, on June 14, 1969. Jimmye and Earl decided to stay in China Spring to raise their son, Steven McAdams, and daughter Kelli (McAdams) Guerrero.  While raising their family, Jimmye graduated from MCC with her Licensed Vocational Nurse degree and then again from the University of New York with her Registered Nursing degree.  Jimmye always attended every event her children and grandchildren had. She was a “Mimi” to everyone who knew her. She proudly served as a nurse for 42 years. In retirement, Jimmye continued acts of service. She was an active member of Angel Paws and served on the Board of Directors in her later years. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family and her animals.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Steve Alan King, and her mother, Betsy Ann King.

Jimmye is survived by her father, Lt. Colonel James J. King and wife Sam; husband of 54 years, Earl McAdams; children, Steven McAdams and wife April and Kelli Guerrero and husband Mario; sister, Lori Gieseler and husband Richard; brother, John King and wife Leanne; grandchildren, Michael McAdams and wife Krista, Andrew McAdams, Joshua McAdams, Brookelyn Guerrero, Adriana Guerrero, and Cruz Guerrero; great-grandchildren, Jace and Jaxon; and her dog, Roxie. She will be missed by many other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Michael, Andrew, and Joshua McAdams, Mario Guerrero, Josh Holobaugh, Eddie McAdams, Sonny McMorris, and Dustin Kirkland.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Gieseler, Brookelyn, Adriana, and Cruz Guerrero, Justin Coleman, and Ryan Lee.

  6. I remember playing with Jimmy Ann, and her sister Lori Dee and brother Johnny when we were kids on Lake Waco. And we had fun times playing and running through the sprinkler with no clothes on at our grandparents’ house on Lake Waco. She was such a fun kid. It was so kind of her to check on mom and dad when they were ill. I will miss her so much and I will pray for you all, Love, Clint
