Jim David Mayfield, 55, passed away on March 10, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.

Celebration of Life Memorial Service: 2:00 PM Saturday March 18, 2017 at Lake Shore Funeral Home 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco.

Jim was born April 28, 1961 at Fort Sam Houston, Texas to Marshall D. and Pattye R. Mayfield. Jim attended schools in Waco, San Antonio, Sumter, S.C., and SHAPE Belgium. He also attended classes at TSTC.

Jim married his longtime girlfriend Kelle Robins on February 27, 2017. Jim was an employee of the Target Store of Waco for over 30 years. He also had worked for several years at Texas Rio Airlines in Waco and Austin, Texas.

Jim is preceded in death by his father, Marshall D. Mayfield. He is survived by his wife, Kelle Mayfield; his mother Pattye Mayfield; his sister, Patrice Reid and her husband Jackie; his nephews, Michael Floyd and Randy Reid, his brother, Marshall Mayfield and his wife Sandy; his nephews, Christopher Mayfield and C. Patrick Mayfield and his wife Brittany; great-niece and nephew, Ruby Jean and Oliver Reed Mayfield. There are also many aunts, uncles and a multitude of cousins and friends.

Although just recently married, Kelle and Jim were a loving couple for many years. They often went ‘picking’ or antiquing together and loved to travel. They often spent time at the beach, the mountains or wherever the road took them on their adventures together. Jim you were loved and touched the lives of many…..you will be greatly missed.
