Jeffrey Pat Walker, age 54, of Waco, Texas, passed away on January 1, 2025.

Visitation:  5-7PM Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Lake Shore Funeral Home.

Funeral Service:  10AM Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Lake Shore Funeral Home.

Interment:  Oak Grove Cemetery, Walnut Springs, Texas

Jeffrey was born on January 12, 1970 in Stephenville, Texas, Jeff was the cherished firstborn son of Gary Walker and Sherry Kirkpatrick. He graduated from Waco High School in 1988 and later earned his certification as a CNC Machinist. However, Jeff found his true calling during his eight years as the Outdoor Service Manager at Moody Gardens in Galveston, Texas.

In 2016, Jeff met the love of his life, Barbara, and they married four years later. Together, they blended their families, raising five wonderful children: Morgan Walker, Danyelle Strickland, Miranda Martin, Drake Walker, and Demi Walker. Known by many names, Jeff’s most treasured title was “Papa,” a reflection of the deep love he had for his family.

A devoted follower of Jesus, Jeff dedicated himself to reading scripture daily, continuously striving to strengthen his faith. He had a passion for the great outdoors, enjoying hobbies like hunting, fishing, and golfing. If he wasn’t outside, you could find him inside cheering on his favorite sports teams—the Texas A&M Aggies and the Kansas City Chiefs—while watching football or golf.

Jeff was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Todd Walker; paternal grandparents, Loyan H. Walker and Patsy Ruth Walker; maternal grandparents, L.C. Miller and Collene Miller; and uncle, Sonny Walker.

Survivors left to cherish his memory are his wife, Barbara Walker; father, Gary Walker and wife Shelly; mother, Sherry Kirkpatrick and husband David; daughter, Morgan Walker and fiancé Dillon Sharp; son, Drake Walker; daughter, Demi Walker; daughter, Danyelle Strickland and husband Wade; daughter, Miranda Martin and husband Cody; granddaughter, Kinsley Rose; grandson, Arthur Wade; sister, Tricia Morgan and husband Jeremy; nephew, Conner Morgan; aunt, Ruth Ann West and family; uncle, Ray Edward Walker and family; aunt, Carolyn Miller; aunt, Laverne Walker and family

Jeff’s spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

  1. Our sincerest heartfelt condolences for the family. You are all on our hearts and in our Prayers. I only knew him for a short time working with him in the Toolroom but when he was running machines outside of the Toolroom he always
    had time to stop and shake hands and smile and wish you a wonderful day as I came down the aisle on my way to my office. He was such a wonderful man that brought joy to all that knew him. He always had a warm smile and Good Morning for everyone. He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
