Jeannette Ann Edge, 81, a longtime resident of Waco, passed away, Sunday, December 17, 2017.

Visitation: Family and friends will gather for visitation and a time of sharing memories, Wednesday, December 20th from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco.

Graveside Service: 1:00PM, Thursday, December 21st at Waco Memorial Park, 6623 N. IH35 in Robinson, with Rev. CW Whorton officiating.

Jeannette was born in Akron, Ohio, September 1, 1936 to the late Jacob Jay and Burdella Rosebud Horn Leedy. She married the love of her life, Robert Edge, June 14, 1953. Together they owned and operated, “Edge’s Café”, here in the Waco and Bellmead area for many years. Their home town hospitality and home-style cooking warm the hearts and bellies of locals for decades. Jeannette was a long time member of, Moonlight Drive Fellowship Baptist Church. She was very involved with her church community and enjoyed her church family. Jeannette was passionate about making people happy and she enjoyed singing whenever the opportunity arose. Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Burdella Leedy; her husband, Bob Edge in 1999; her siblings, Larry Leedy and Eleanor Torralba.

Jeannette leaves to cherish her memory her loving children, Diana Pena and husband, Donny, Terry Edge and wife, Marsha, and Cindy Parrish and husband, Steve; grandchildren, Tommy Pena, Kyle Edge and wife, Nicole, Destiny Parrish and husband Jason Patterson, Shara McDermott and husband, Connor; great-grandchildren, Emily Patterson, Alaina McDermott and Kaiden Edge; along with numerous other loving family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Waco Humane Society.
