Janis Lynn Mezzell, 50, of Bruceville, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2009 at her residence surrounded by her family. Memorial services will be 1PM Saturday, December 5th at Bruceville-Eddy United Methodist Church with Rev. Lee Casey and Rev. J.R. Mathews officiating. She was born February 27, 1959 in Beaumont to Nell
Stinebaugh. Janis was an accomplished seamstress and very active in the Bruceville-Eddy community.

Janis is survived by her mother, Nell Stinebaugh of Bruceville; daughter, Colby Lowrey, of Austin; aunt, Martha Franks and husband, Wayne of Dallas; uncle, J.R. Mathews and wife, Gloria of Hawkins; and several cousins.

In lieu of flowers, an education trust fund has been set up for Colby Lowrey at Educators Credit Union, in Waco.
