Condolences for the family of “Jamie Mitchell”

Condolence from Becky Welden on February 28th, 2014 9:13 am

Jamie,
I have loved you since I was sixteen and we were dating. You gave me my first true kiss, my first flower from a guy, my first true relationship. You were the first man to ask me to marry him, and I so wish I had done so. My heart breaks so bad for you. If I could only be held in your arm again and you tell me it will be alright. I have seen you in the past many times and wanted to tell how I feel. You were the only guy my brothers trusted that I would be safe with. My brother Ricky really liked you. I remember when he sneaked me out of the house to come see you. I remember the rattlesnake in the bag on the floor and you said, Don’t worry I won’t let any thing happen to you. Jamie there is a hole burnt in my heart that will never close unitl I see you in Heaven. I love you Jamie with all my heart.

Condolence from Wade J Carrell on February 23rd, 2020 11:47 am

I knew Jamie in Dallas and fished with HIM all the time after 30 years I was just talking with my friends about Jamie. He was simply a kind wonderful person a love for life and he always gave more then asked for. He left a cagged RATTLE SNAKE on my doorstep when he moved back to Waco. I have missed his friendship over the years. I wished I had reached out earlier to have stayed in touch! Life lesson to me. From an old YANKEE that is very sad to hear now of his loss. A friend always. Wade J Carrell
Wisconsin.

Its not often I feel a genuine sense of loss. Once with my father, my grandmother, my favorite aunt. Today I have that same feeling. There’s another hole in the universe that cannot be filled.

I’ll miss you.

Condolence from Susan Mitchell Powell on February 28th, 2014 9:14 am

Jamie, I am so glad you lived your dream of living on the coast and doing what you loved. So many of us lack the fortitude to do this. We will miss your great sense of humor and wit that you inherited from your dad and Uncle William, my dad. I guess growing up on the coast every chance we got we have to have a lot of sand and salt water in our veins. Rest in peace. We love you. Susan
