James Terry Harrison (Jim), of Whitney, Texas, entered heaven Saturday morning, February 7, 2015 at the age of 78. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Many men in the Whitney area will now need a new barber.

Memorial Services: 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 10th at Open Range Cowboy Church in Whitney, Texas with Rev. Carl Jennings and Rev. Dr. Gerald Dudley officiating.

Jim was born March 20, 1936 in Levelland, Texas, served in the US Navy, earned his U.S. Merchant Marine license from the U.S. Coast Guard, and spent his adult life improving people’s appearance as a barber.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother Jewell and Clyde Harrison and his wife of 44 years, Shirley Harrison.

Jim is survived by his wife, Angie Harrison; sister, Betty Harrison; daughter, Kitty Marbut and husband, Terry of Whitney, Texas; son Mike Wadley and wife, Denise, of Covington, Georgia; grandchildren, Missy Ingram, Shera Bledsoe, Corey Marbut, Christy Goolsby, Aaron Wadley and Cara Wadley; many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; also many special friends from years of barbering and Max the Parrot.

In of lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jim’s memory to First Baptist Church of Whitney or Open Range Cowboy Church of Whitney.
