James (Jim) Roe, Jr., 79, of China Spring, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at his residence. Military graveside services will be 2PM Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Valley Mills Cemetery with Chaplain Brian Pendleton officiating. Jim was born January 17, 1931 in Topeka, Kansas to James and Flora (Siler) Roe. At the age of seventeen, he enlisted with the U.S. Air Force. He served during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. He retired in 1968 from the Air Force with twenty-one years of service. He then went to work for the U.S. Postal Service and retired in 1989 with twenty years of service. He married Dora McRae in February 10, 1953.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Dora; parents; three sisters; and one brother.

Survivors include daughter, DeeDee Lewis and husband Kirk of Waco and their family, James
