James Robert Blackwell, 67 of Waco, passed away at his home, Saturday, November 18, 2017.

Visitation: Memorial Visitation, Tuesday November 28, 2017 from 6:00pm to 8:0pm at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco

James was born January 9, 1950 in Quitman Mississippi to Nathan and Geneva Blackwell. In 1963, James and his family moved to Waco. James was a hard worker, having various jobs over the years as a sheet metal worker and worked in the oil fields as a rigger. He was proceeded in death by his father, Nathan Blackwell; sisters, Bennie Sue Miller and Linda Diane Todd.

James was a loving brother, father uncle and friend and he will be missed by all of us.

James leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Geneva Dearman of Meridian Mississippi; three daughters, Lacie Mazingo of Alabama, Angela Blackwell and Kristal Johnson of Waco; brother, Travis Blackwell of Waco; sisters, Martha Jackson and husband Henry of Hallsburg, Sandra Eaton and husband Rick of Bruceville/Eddy, Pamela Brooker of Waco; nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
