James Allen Poehls

James Allen Poehls, 59, of Waco, has been called home to his Lord. He passed away peacefully in his home early Sunday morning, August 20, 2017 surrounded by love after a battle with ALS.
Celebration of Life Service: 11:30 a.m. Thursday, August 24, at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend, in Waco.
James loved building things in his workshop and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed fishing and vacationing on the coast.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Poehls and Pauline Poehls; and sister, Shirley Wright.
James is survived by his wife, Patricia Poehls; daughter, Nancy Bangle and husband, Chris of Lewisville; grandchildren, Seth Rakes and Brooke Rabe both of Lewisville and Josh Bangle and wife, Kacie of Dallas; sisters, Joyce Swatloski of Denton, Theresa Wallace of Whitney and Margaret Lyons and husband, Rob of Allen; brothers, Wayne Poehls of Lacy Lakeview and Milton Poehls of Ozone, Arkansas; and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Providence Hospice for their love and care.
