Jack Majors, 83, of Marion, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021.

Funeral Services: 2PM Thursday, September 2 at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Doris Miller Memorial Park.

Visitation: 2 to 4PM Wednesday, September 1 at Lake Shore Funeral Home.

Jack Majors was born on November 22, 1937 to George Majors and Myrtle Walker in Downsville, Texas. He attended the Downsville school system where he received his high school diploma in 1958. He began working for The Weston Biscuit Company in 1959 and worked with The Weston Family assisting with various business ventures for over 50 years.

He married Sadie Poole on July 2, 1986 in Waco, Texas. They had a blended family of 10 children that they loved deeply. In, March of 1997 they moved to New Braunfels, Texas on a ranch where they both enjoyed life together until they were both called home.

Jack Majors was most affectionately known as “Paw Paw”. He was an exemplary example of a father. He embodied a tremendous work ethic, love, compassion, and support for all his children, friends and family members. He will truly be missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sadie Poole Walker; Daughters, Jacquelyn Waits, Sylvia “Lannie” Porter (David); brothers, Jessie Henderson, Joe Sidney Henderson, Sam Henderson; sister, Eddie White

He is survived by his sons, Wendell Williams (Teresa), Craig Betters, Darryl Betters, Steven Willis, Stanley Willis (LaTaunya), Dwayne Willis (Yolanda); daughters, Shraya Williams, Synthia Armstead (Lonnie); sisters, Sophie Moore, Joann Buckner; brothers David Moore (Karen), Gene Henderson (Dorothy) 34 Grandchildren, 21 Great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends.

Place of Service: Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel , 5201 Steinbeck Bend; Waco, TX 76708
