I knew JR Black my entire life. The Black family lived across the street from my grandparents and well JR and Betty always treated us like we were their grandkids too. I have so many wonderful memories of the adults playing 42, 84 or spades and all of us kids running around. The world has lost a wonderful and great man. My thoughts and prayers are with Betty and the rest of the family. Love, Mindy Jo

Will always remember JR as a kind, loving, and generous man. Always showed a sincere spirit of love to everyone that had the honor of knowing him. He showed his love in some of the simplest ways in life such as the planting of his gardens and holding his sweet wife’s hand. Will be thinking of you Betty and Janet. You were blessed with one of the best husbands and daddies. Never forgotten, always in our hearts!!
