Israel Pargas Vega, age 64, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025 in Waco, TX surrounded by his loved ones.

Visitation:  5pm to 8pm Tuesday, February 4th at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend, Waco, TX 76708

Rosary:  6pm Tuesday, February 4th at Lake Shore Funeral Home

Mass:  12pm Wednesday, February 5th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2621 Bagby Ave, Waco, TX 76711

Interment:  Oakwood Cemetery, 2124 S 5th St, Waco, TX 76706

Israel Pargas Vega was born on February 15, 1960 in San Blas – Villa de Cos, Zacatecas, Mexico to his parents Ruben Pargas and Aurora Vega.  Israel was a man of God and family. He was always at his happiest being around his beloved grandchildren and family. He loved to travel to Mexico every chance that he got. Israel Pargas was a fighter in every sense of the word, and his spirit will never be forgotten. He was always loved and will remain forever in our hearts. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Israel Pargas.

Israel is survived by his wife, Irene Pargas; son, Eduardo and his wife Claudia and his children Eduardo Jr, Yasmin, Dulce and Jocelyn; son, Arturo and his wife Patty and his children Arturo Jr and Priscilla; son, Omar and his wife Paola and their children Matteo and Luka; son, Christian and his wife Andrea and his son Thiago. Israel is also survived by his brothers and sisters, many cousins, nieces and nephews. Israel has now moved on to follow his parents, his siblings Manuel, Homero, and Chata, his son Ruben and his granddaughter Jailyne in heaven.

His memory will forever be etched in our hearts, and his love will always be felt, his laugh will remain in our minds and his memory will always live on with those that knew him in life.
