Helen Mary McAuliff

Helen Mary McAuliff, 87, passed away of congestive heart failure July 20, 2020 at her home in Lorena.

Service Information: At The McAuliff’s request a small private service will be held at home with Pastor Larry.

 

Helen began life and met her husband, Edward C. McAuliff, in Chicago, Il. They then relocated to The Landings on Skidaway Island In Savannah, GA. Soon moving again to the Atlanta suburbs where The McAuliff’s started Golf Depot Inc. Helen and Edward eventually moved, along with Golf Depot Inc., to Ft. Walton Beach, FL, where Golf Depot Inc. is still in business today.

Helen relocated to Texas to be closer to family and said daily that she was so thankful and happy to be here. She truly loved living in Texas and would tear up with gratitude when expressing how blessed she felt that God had brought her here.

Helen was an avid golf player, Director of Golf Depot Inc., and an amazing and lifelong domestic ambassador. She was also a very proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and was a prominent member of the community of The Landings.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph & Julia Kozubek of Niles, IL; husband, Edward C. McAuliff Sr. of PCB, FL; brother, Edward S. Kane of Chicago, IL; and grandson, Edward “Charlie” McAuliff  III of Euharlee, GA; son-in-law, Paul D. Wolfe Sr. of Snellville, GA;

Survivors include her children, Kathleen M. McAuliff of Lorena, Peggy S. Wolfe of Lynn Haven, FL,  and Edward C. McAuliff Jr. of Navarre, FL; grandchildren, Maureen K. Walker (Greg) of Lorena, Christina H. Brannon (Allen) of Central TX, Andrea R. Benson (Bradley) Euharlee, GA, Paul D. Wolfe Jr. (Alicia) of CA, Kevin C. Wolfe of Wilmington, NC, Kelly K. Wolfe of Lynn Haven, FL, and Colleen N. Hernandez (Chris) of Aurora, CO; great-grandchildren, Ashley E. Heller of Central TX, Riley A. Walker of Lorena, Ryan J. Walker of Lorena, Catalaya M. Clinton of Lynn Haven, FL, Nina A. Hernandez, of Aurora, CO, Paul D. Wolfe III “Trey” of CA, Reid M. Walker of Lorena, TX, Hanna Benson of Euharlee, GA, Katherine Nicole Wolfe of CA and Emory Charles Benson of Euharlee, GA.

The family would like to give special thanks to Texas Home Health Hospice Team. Helen’s family would also like to acknowledge Alison and Jacqueline and their pharmacological team who worked tirelessly and with outstanding knowledge and caring hearts to help the family navigate and manage Helen’s pharmaceutical needs. Family would also like to express gratitude to Lake Shore Funeral Home for lovingly guiding us and tending to our beloveds final earthly needs.
