    IN THE FATHER’S HOUSE:
“Let not your heart be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going. ” John 14:1-4

    Cynthia and Grace,

We have been so very shocked and saddened to learn of Guinn’s passing. I’m at a great loss for words because Guinn wasn’t just my co-worker, he was my good friend for many years. Sadly due to time, distance and work circumstances, it’s been a few years since I’d spoken with Guinn. We’ve all lost phone numbers and misplaced email addresses in the interim. He’d been on my mind recently, yet I didn’t realize that you’d moved back to Texas until Milo let me know Tuesday.

All of our condolences are meant well, but most of them fall far short of what we intend. However, I know Guinn’s family was the most important thing in his life. He was “OK” with having achieved his degree, and though his jobs were important, they were merely the support for his family. The two of you truly were his reason for being…

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
