Born on March 22, 1950, in Three Rivers, Texas, Gloria was the cherished daughter of Federico Peña Flores and Maria Barrera. She spent her formative years in her hometown, where she developed a strong work ethic and passion for life.

Gloria dedicated many years as a welder, tool handler and delivery driver for a welding company, earning the respect of her colleagues and community. Later, she embraced the role of a devoted homemaker, lovingly raising her children in New Iberia, Louisiana. On August 19, 1992, she married Clebert Joseph Dauzat, and together they built a blended family filled with love, laughter, and memories that spanned over 33 years.

Gloria had a zest for life and found joy in the simple pleasures—playing cards and billiards, spending quality time with her family and friends, camping with her children, and ballroom dancing with all her heart. Her vibrant spirit and warm presence touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Federico Peña Flores and Maria Barrera Aguirre; stepfather, Antero Aguirre; sisters, Guadalupe Dryden and Olga Green; and brothers, Antero Aguirre Jr., Juan Aguirre (Rosemary) and Aldemiro Aguirre.
