Glenn was born on March 24, 1967 in Lubbock to Charles R. Yerger, Sr. and Dorothy M. (Woodruff) Yerger. He lived in multiple locations, including Germany, throughout his childhood before his parents settled in Waco. He attended Connally ISD, where he graduated in 1986. At the age of 15 he discovered his passion for the fire service. He served as a volunteer leading into his career as a fireman- serving for multiple departments throughout the years. His professional career ended in 2003. He then carried out careers in welding and water treatment with his last position being with WCID in Bell County.

In 1988, Glenn married the love of his life, Gaylona Wilhite. He cherished and was devoted to his wife of 35 years. He was a loving father to his daughters, and the best PawPaw to his grandkids. He was the #1 supporter of anything they did. Glenn was also good to each of his pets. He enjoyed spending his time with his family, including activities such as camping, baking, painting, racing, and watching old movies. He was also involved with and had a great love for his church family at Hallsburg Baptist Church. Glenn was a loving man and never met a stranger. Family was everything to him. His heart was undoubtedly dedicated to the Lord.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents.

Rest in peace Glenn , you will be remembered and missed. I remember the days going to pizza hut after the football games. Coming in to marching practice late because we was fighting a house fire , and boy did we both smell of smoke that day. The fishing and camping trips we use to take. And all the pranks we pulled on each other. My deepest condolences to you and your family my prayers and thoughts are with them during these difficult time.
