Glenda was born November 22, 1948 to Howard and Veta May Woodard in Waco. Glenda grew up in Waco and graduated from La Vega High School. She worked in a drapery shop with her twin sister Lynda shortly after for many years, creating beautiful curtains and drapes for many people, including President George W. Bush. Glenda married Bill Hitchner on November 29, 1996 in Waco. She spent most of her time on the road as a truck driver along with her husband Bill and her beloved dogs. They owned Hitchner Trucking and traveled the country together for nearly 20 years. She was a lover of all animals big and small, especially horses. She was also an excellent cook and would host many holidays with family & friends. For the last few years of her life, she spent most of her time with her sister, Lynda. They volunteered at local food pantries and delivered items to people all over Waco. Glenda had a giving heart and wanted nothing more than to help those in need, even when she didn’t have much to give.
