Georgia Mae Hofen

Georgia Mae Hofen was born November 21, 1939 in Columbia, Missouri to parents, Hubert and Ruby Barnes. She passed away on March 2, 2020.

Georgia graduated from Hickman High School, Columbia Missouri in 1957. She met the love of her life at the roller rink and they married August 10, 1958. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.

She traveled for 18 years with her husband while he served in the Army until they landed in Texas. She then worked for the State of Texas for 22 yrs before retiring. Georgia enjoyed bowling on leagues and all kinds of dancing, beginning with square dancing, which turned to country two-step before turning to ballroom dancing. Her love for ballroom dancing inspired her love for teaching others to dance. Georgia also liked to travel with friends and family, cooking Sunday dinner for her family and playing dominoes or cards with friends.

Georgia was preceeded in death by her parents and sister.

Survivors include her husband, Glenn Hofen, her son, Gregory Hofen and his wife Paula; her daughter, Cynthia and her husband Wayne Riedel; her grandson, Kyle Riedel and wife Phylicia; and one great- granddaughter, Eva ReiLynn Riedel.
