  9. I can’t say enough about how sweet and caring Gene was, he literally was one of those who would give anything he had to help others! He also was the most patient man I have ever known, not once did I ever see him lose his temper or say a bad word about anyone, he was the best Step-Dad and loving man ever, he was a true blessing from God to have him in our lives as long as we did! Some of my favorite memories of Gene was when you asked him a question, his favorite response was – “We’ll See”, his love for gardening and working in the yard, watching him sit on the patio drinking iced tea, his love for the Texas Rangers Baseball, Nascar, fishing and he loved Marty Robbins songs, and my favorite memory of all was when he & mom lived in Lorena and Gene would just be getting off work and he would drive up in his gold colored El Camino – he loved that car! Alison said that he always gave the best Hugs Ever! THANK YOU GENE for all of the fantastic memories you left us all with and I know that you are in God’s loving care now with your loved ones and your best friend Tracey Copeland! We’ll see you soon! James, Alison & Blake

  10. Mrs. Evelyn and the rest of the family. We are very sorry to hear of your loss. Gene was always so kind to me! He had a gentle spirit to everyone. Safe in the arms of Jesus now!

  11. Uncle Gene, Your wings were ready to fly, our hearts were not. You are forever in our hearts and will be missed greatly and by so many who knew you!! Love, Deena, Mike M., Patsy and Mike Y.

  12. Evelyn, my thoughts are with you and your family. May God give you comfort and understanding..God has a purpose for all of us and it was Gene’ time to be called home. He was a wonderful person and I will always remember his saying to Evelyn “will see”
Now he is at peace seeing all his friends and especially Tracy. Now instead of talking on the phone ever night they can talk in person.
    Gone but not forgotten.
    Love Patsy

  13. Bye for now Papa Gene. Anthony & I watched “The Sandlot” last night. Classic baseball film w the famous ‘over the fence’ baseball replaced not only w “the Great Bambino’s” (aka Babe Ruth) signature, but by the entire 1927 NY Yankees team, including Lou Gehrig… No doubt a serendipitous gift in your memory ???? Papa Gene, you will be forever in our thoughts & interwoven in our lives… Until we meet again, dear gentle man… ????️

  14. We’re keeping Gene’s loved ones in our thoughts and prayers. May you feel God’s comfort and love now and in the days ahead. I read where Gene loves gardening. He must have got that from his mother. Aunt Mae was a wonderful gardener. I loved walking in her backyard and her telling me all about her treasured plants. Love, Mike and Dian Gose
