Gene Harvey Walker, 79, of Mart, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019.
Service Information: A memorial service in his honor is pending arrangements.
Gene was born to Charman and Jim Walker October 30, 1939. He graduated from Garland High School. He was a retired Printer and Machinist as well as a part time Security Guard.
Gene was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. He was also a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, the Texas Longhorns and was very proud of the Mart Panthers.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Wayne Walker.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Delores J. Walker; son, James D. Walker; daughter, Stacy L. Henning; step-daughter, Sheri L. Miller and husband; step-daughter, Malynda R. Draper and husband; step-son, Michael D. Cathey and wife; step-daughter, Holley C. Herwig and husband; nine siblings which include Lee Harper, Roy Walker, Larry Walker, Patsy Jackson, Betty Ellis, Arthur Walker, Glenda Whaley, Jack Walker and Vess Walker; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
