Our beloved son Esteban Amadeo Macias Jaramillo, known as Stephen by his family and his many friends, went to his heavenly home on February 1, 2023.

Special Reception for Stephen:   Bitty & Beau’s prior to Visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Celebration of Life:  2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Lake Shore Funeral Home, Waco

Preceding him in death are paternal grandparents, Teodoro & Rafelita Jaramillo, maternal grandparents Roy Macias & Virginia Garcia, and nephew Jonathan David Boone.

Stephen is survived by his parents David and Angela Jaramillo of Mart, TX; sister Ashley Corona of Yuma, AZ; brothers David Anthony and wife Nikki Jaramillo of Waco, TX and Teddy Jaramillo and Alyssa Luna of Austin, TX.

Stephen is also survived by his niece, Paisley Jaramillo and nephew, Blaze Jaramillo of Waco, TX. Stephen was their biggest fan and always encouraged them to do their best.

Stephen was a 2016 graduate of Mart High School. He was confirmed at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elk, TX.

At the time of Stephen’s passing, he was employed at Bitty & Beau’s Coffee Shop in Waco, TX. It was more than a job to him; it was his second home and he loved it.

Stephen was very involved in Boy Scouts and achieved the rank of Life Scout and Order of the Arrow. Stephen participated in the Special Olympics with the Falls Education Co-op Delegation, tech support with Waco Children’s Theater, Waco Symphony Boys Choir and the Challenger League.

Stephen loved visiting his brother, Teddy, in Austin where he quickly made himself part of a large friend group who loved and supported him. His sister remembers the family as wanting to protect Stephen, who was the baby of the family, but as it turned out he was more concerned with the family’s feeling and made sure everyone was okay. His big brother remembers Stephen as not thinking about himself but of others, and always had a pep talk for his niece and nephew or told them how proud he was of them.

Pallbearers are David Anthony Jaramillo, Teddy Jaramillo, Blaze Jaramillo, A.J. Jaramillo, Dale Jaramillo

Honorary Pallbearers is everybody who was a part of Stephen’s brief life, who laughed with him, who taught him and called him friend.

Special thank you to Mark and Amy Sauer and his friends at Bitty & Beau’s, the Staff at Friends for Life and to Rakeem Wiley for organizing the candlelight vigil.

In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to the Falls County Coop 3162 Hwy 6, Marlin TX 76661 memo Stephen, to support their Special Olympics Delegation.

I just met Stephen through this beautiful tribute and video, although I feel as if I knew him a little bit through the words of his dad, David. David has spoken so proudly of Stephen on the phone so many times (I work with David). Thank-you for sharing his life with us. Praying that you will feel Jesus wrap his arms around you and your family.
