Erica Denise Turner, 24, of Waco, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2012. Graveside services will be at 10 AM Friday, June 22, at Rosemound Cemetery with Rev. David Story officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM Thursday, June 21 , Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco. Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online Guest Book at www.LakeShoreFuneralHome.com.
Erica was born on February 10, 1988. She was attending TSTC. She was the proud mother of two children, Kara and Maddox, who were her life. She met her true love and fiance, Josh Newell, and she was carrying their first child.
She loved and lived her life to the fullest and wanted the best life for her children. Erica was close to her family and friends. Every weekend the family would get together for the children to be close to their cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents.
Erica was a very talented person and loved to fix her friends’ hair and makeup. She would spend hours on Halloween doing the kids hair and makeup.
Erica was our shining light that was dimmed too early in her life.
Erica was preceded in death by her mother, Paula Neumann; future mother-in-law, Phyllis Newell, and cousin, Jason Saul, Jr..
She is survived by her children, Kara and Maddox; fiance, Josh Newell and his son Aiden; dad, Billy Neumann; future father-in-law, Steven Newell; sisters, Brittany (Adrian), Krystal (Peter) and Rose; brothers, Billy, Dalton and David; cousins, who were like sisters, Alisha (Angelo) and Katy (JD); her other dad, Albert; grandparents, Douglas and Marla Turner; aunts and uncles, Michael and Heather, Kristy and Jeff, James and KaSaundra and Lisa; numerous other great-aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friends, Doti, Kayla, and Maggie; and many other friends.

Erica,you were a lovely person inside and out.I will miss our texts to each other,our understandings and agreements.I thank you for giving both families two beautiful children, your legacy now,to love and care for the rest of their lives.I miss you already and always will.May God bring peace over your soul and comfort to the family as He holds the kids tightly in His arms. I pray that He guides them in the right direction and also never forgetting their beautiful Mom who loved them dearly and it showed.I love you mija, rest in peace……
I have been dreading seeing this since I found out, as I did not want to believe it was true. I was just talking to you a month ago about zumba, and telling you how beautiful your kids were, and how much you have grown up since we were kids playing at Aunt Marla’s house. I wish we would have never lost contact over the years, I will hold our childhood memories so close. You, Brittany, and I used to be some mischevious kids haha. I love you Erica, and don’t want to have to say goodbye, you are my little cousin. You are not supposed to go before me, I love you always. I know Jesus needed two beautiful angels, and he chose you and that precious baby, but it isn’t fair. I love you always <3
Erica only you and God knows why he took you so soon. You were a sweet, loving mother and sis-n-law to me no matter what happen between you and Jacob. You and God blessed us with two young beautiful kids you left behind for your legency to live on. Nobody will ever let the babies forget who mommy is because they love you just as much as you loved them. Continue to watch over Bree & her kids as well cause you were her everything! Well babygirl you have no more pain or suffering sleep above us forever in paradise!! Love you always!

When I first met you,I could see what my son saw in you.Your beautiful smile; kind heart;your sense of humor. You were an amazing mom,and intelligent person.You were a very stong person who knew what she wanted,and was determine to go for it,and for that I was so proud of you.You live your life to its fullest everday.And made sure that your children had what they needed.And I was proud that you taught my grandchildren early how to recognize their letters,numbers,and colors. You are and angel who touched everyone’s heart,You had a beautifull glow that no one will ever forget,including your children.We won’t let them.Your children will continue to carry your features and kindness and your beautifull glow forever for you,and they will be blessed.I will miss your presents here,but spiritually you will always be around.We still love and always will.

I never met you Erica but knew what a special woman you were through your father Billy. He always told me and all the other hairstylists about you, your children, and all his family. He loved you with all heart! The family has our deepest sympathy!

My prayers are with your family. I never met Erica, but i do know Marla and Staci. I love them both and care for your family through them. I pray your family will heal quickly and become stronger in your faith.

Erica, there is not a day goes by that i don’t think about and pick up the phone to call you. we miss you so much. The kids are doing ok for now. your head stone will be set this week.

its been a year and still is like a dream and we will wake up and all be back to normal. but that is not going to happen and we miss you ever day and the kids ask for you. all we have is our memories.

Erica, you was a person that everyone can enjoy having as a friend. Its still hard to even seeing this being so, but now your going to be a gaurdian angel for your lil ones, and again thanks for that advise back in high school…you will be missed.

Im in complete shock still that ur gone…you had ur whole life to live but i guess ur mama and baby j needed u more…meeting u in 7th grade change my life…ur sister became one of the few who today are my best friend and u where like our big sister watching over us…i remember seeing with ur kids at walmart and how evertime i said i was gunna steal ur chunky cheek babies cuz they where so cute and still are…i remember going to ur house and talking to u and bree bout boys..u had the greatest advice..and then seeing u at my sons party with ur happy family…the one thing i kno u took with u was that u where a great mother sister and friend…i miss i love u friend forever and always
erica, i miss you and i miss mom i wish you 2 were still here, its hard not having yall here………sometimes i dont know what to do with out yall, but i know that yall are looking over me and i know that yall are in a better place but i wish yall were here
