Preston, Kevin, Amber, and Tessa —

It was sad to hear of the loss of your brother, Eric. Preston had mentioned back in September of his battle with cancer. Eric will be missed by many.

Thinking of you all in this time . Please send my condolences as well to your Mother.

Condolence from Al Rushanan on January 16th, 2020 4:59 pm

We just lost a man of extraordinary qualities. Wild animals sensed it and immediately knew he was a friend. When he was a DJ, people flocked to him by the hundreds to listen to the music. He instinctively knew what they wanted to hear. He had the lionhearted ability to keep on going when life unjustly hit him with one painful blow after another. He was a devoted father and always good to people. This was known to the Texas court system which, in a rare decision, awarded him full custody of his children — the accomplishment he was most proud of in his life. He was a singer, a dancer, a percussionist, an MC, an animal trainer, a cook, and a business owner. He was kind, generous, hard-working, dependable, and he didn’t use foul language. Eric Trenton Nix led a Christian life. Although the pain of his loss will never leave me, it’s okay because I had the fortune of knowing him.
