Ella Ray Chiles, 90, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014. Graveside services will be at 11am, Saturday, June 7th at Rosemound Cemetery with John Rainey officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service (10am), also at Rosemound Cemetery.

Ella was born March 25, 1924 in Elgin to Louis and Anna (Bayer) Kolinek. She grew up to be a great model of a wife and mother, and later, broke the mold as the most attentive and loving grandmother. She was a member of the Southside Church of Christ in Robinson, and always kept her Lord and Savior a close part of her life. Ella made the best chocolate sheet cake around! In her later years, she enjoyed attending dances at the Sul Ross Senior Center.

Just about everyone called her “MamaLou”. Some sweet things her family recalls are when Ella would have an Easter Egg hunt… Just Because! …or her yummy spaghetti that only she knew how to make just right… all the elves she hid around the house at Christmas time… the special after nap time snack of ginger snaps…. And most of all, her unconditional love to all of her family she so easily expressed. Ella was a loving, strong woman in Christ, who will always have a very special place among each of our hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard Chiles; and daughter, Nancy Caudill.

She is survived by her daughter, Dottie; seven granddaughters; 15 great-grandkids; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Psalm 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Amen.

Place of Service: Rosemound Cemetery , 3201 S. 12th St.; Waco, TX 76706
