Elizabeth “Libba” Murchison Farley, aged 71, passed away peacefully at her home in Waco, Texas, on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 24, 1953, in Waco, Libba was the cherished daughter of the late Walter Dewitt and Elizabeth Lucille (Ellisor) Murchison.

Libba was a proud graduate of La Vega High School, class of 1971. She pursued a career as a hair stylist before transitioning to a role as an accounting technician, where she most recently served with dedication at the Waco Veterans Affairs office. Her professional life was marked by her commitment to excellence and her warm, engaging personality, which endeared her to colleagues and clients alike. Libba’s life was enriched by her family, whom she adored. She is survived by her three beloved children: Colin Luttoschka of Waco; Andrew Farley and his wife, Peggy, of Mount Calm; and Ashley Farley of Axtell. Two brothers, Steven Murchison and his wife, Kristy, of Arlington, and Sam Murchison and his wife, Karen, of Aubrey. She is also survived by two nephews and a step-nephew and niece. Her legacy continues through her nine cherished grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life.

In addition to her professional and family life, Libba was known for her generous spirit and her dedication to causes close to her heart. In her memory, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association, reflecting her enduring commitment to helping others.

Libba’s life was a testament to love, resilience and kindness. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and compassion. Her family and friends take comfort in the many memories they shared with her, celebrating a life well-lived.
