Dorothy was a Licensed Vocational Nurse and spent many years of her career working in private doctor’s offices in Wichita Falls, but truly found her calling when she became a school nurse with the early childhood program at the Wichita Falls Independent School District.  She continued to work well into her seventh decade because she loved the little children.

Condolence from Mistie Coovert on January 25th, 2023 4:44 pm

Ms. Dorothy was a wonderful nurse and friend. She was a huge help to me when I started Head Start in 2014 all the way up until this year. I will miss her so much. She loved our babies so much and so well. She was truly a blessing to our students and staff. There are many here at Farris that will miss her so much. I was also lucky to go to church with Ms. Dorothy as well. She was always willing to help out wherever she could. She has touched so many lives and will be greatly missed.
