Doris Maxine Saylor, age 95, of Waco, Texas, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Hillcrest.

Visitation:  6-8PM Friday, January 10, 2025 at Lake Shore Funeral Home.

Funeral Service:  2 PM Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Chalk Bluff Baptist Church, 5993 Gholson Road, Waco, TX.

Doris was born in Cross Plains, TX on March 14, 1929.  She was preceded in death by her husband; Curtis Saylor, parents; Troy and Veda Strong; brother, James Strong, and two great grandchildren, Warren Claborn and Kara Saylor.

Doris and Curtis were married on July 19th, 1947, in Odessa, TX.  They had been married 67 years. Doris was a loving and faithful wife, a wonderful mother, a doting grandmother, extraordinary great-grandmother and a really good friend.

Survivors include her two sons; Rod and his wife Jeanelle of Amarillo, Doug and his wife Donna of Waco; grandchildren, Jeremy Saylor and his wife Jamie of Dallas, Julie Young and her husband Ragan of Prosper, Daniel Saylor and his wife Jenny of Montana, Dara Claborn and her husband Brian of Wisconsin, Drew Saylor and his wife Alyse of Waco; great grandchildren, Landry Saylor and Ashton Saylor of Dallas, Eli Young and Max Young of Prosper, Caleb Claborn , Lucas Claborn, Jaden Claborn, and Joseph Claborn of Wisconsin, Aven Saylor and Elora Saylor of Waco.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Chalk Bluff Baptist Church, 5993 Gholson Rd., Waco, TX 76705.
