  1. Michael Parker

On Saturday, the Good Lord decided that he needed another angel to come join him. Mom was a very devoted Christian lady and even in the face of death, she never once gave in on her faith. Mom was and still is a loving and caring mom.

There are no words that I can use to describe my Mother that would do her justice. All I can is, Mom, I love you and I will miss you. I know you are in Heaven and that you and your family are finally together. I will miss you here on this Earth but, I know one day, I will see you again.

Until I see you again, I know you are in the best hands ever. I love you and I always will.

    Your Son,

    Michael

Thank you for the honor of caring for your mom and your family. The love that you all feel for her is so evident when I speak with you. Our HOSPICE FAMILY HOLDS you in our thoughts and prayers.

      Kay,
My thanks especially to you and the Hospice program. Mom was at ease with you by her side and you helped us through this rough time.

If ever there was an angel, you are one. Each time you came to visit mom, you made sure mom was well taken care of but, you also made sure we were taken care of as well.

Again, thank you for being there for mom but, for being there for us as well.

I meet Doris in 1981 and learned to love her as one of my mothers. At first I thought she was a hard lady to please but that was not true she just wanted me to be the best that I could be. She was strongest women I have ever might. She loved all of her children with all of her heart. I love her very much to this day and will truly miss this beautiful, loving and caring women until we meet again love you Melody

It’s hard to believe it’s been more than 20 years since I stood by Sis Doris and prayed with her one Sunday morning, and watched God fill her with the Holy Ghost. I think I was as thrilled as she was. I loved her, and admired her so much. Even if she was worried about something she would still smile and find joy in life. Her energy, joy and enthusiasm were contagious. She was just so much fun!
She loved the Lord without reservation, and she loved her family. She was always concerned about their happiness and well being, especially spiritually. She so wanted to be sure that they would be saved and share heaven together.

She truly was a very special lady. I know she didn’t like it at all when her health began to hinder her from doing all she wanted, so I’m sure now she’s able to do cartwheels all over the hills of heaven, and it would be just like her to do that very thing! What a reunion we will have one day!

  5. My momma / grandma she is my world she taught me so much and I am going to miss her so much. I am going to miss waking up and sitting with her having coffee. But I know she is no longer in pain no more suffering. I love you momma.

  6. What an honor is has been to have Sis. Blankenship as part of Bible Way Church for the last 30 years. She was so faithful to be there every service until her health no longer allowed. We appreciate the love she showed to us all and loved the great hugs that were always available. She was someone who could never be accused of being lazy. She was a working woman until in her 80’s and she hated to retire even then. Sis. Blankenship was a Christian and so thankful for that. She did her best to serve the Lord well.

She always spoke of her love for her children and grandchildren. All of you need to know you held a special place in her heart. She also loved her little dogs, especially, Brownie. They kind of drove me crazy when I was at her house. You had to talk over their barking at times but she loved them so. She always had a big smile for anyone who came to visit.

I loved this sweet lady and was truly honored to call her friend. Until we meet again……

Well the lord came to take an angel home and i know your family will miss you dearly.Im so sorry. for your loss.

  8. May God be with the family at this time and help all to find peace. Doris was a very loved person who was very outspoken about what she believed in. We all know she believed in her faith. Therefore, find peace knowing she is with her maker, walking in the beauty of heavens pearly gates. No pain, no illness, only peace and happiness. God bless and may you feel comfort.
