Dorinda Kay Dickson (Garrett), 71, of Waco Texas joined our Lord and her loved ones Friday, January 29th 2017.

Graveside Funeral Service: 11AM, Saturday, February 4th at Bosqueville Cemetery located at 100, 298 Lawhon Ln, Waco, TX 76708. Arrangements made by Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend Dr, Waco, TX 76708. Floral remembrances may be delivered there for Friday delivery.

Dorinda was born in Waco to Mills Latham and Mary Helen Dickson, March 16, 1945. She raised 5 sons who were the joy of her life and kept her busy and entertained! Dorinda loved to crappie fish and hunt in her hay days, and always loved a good laugh! Those who knew her, knew her to be a strong, independent woman who always spoke her mind and was fiercely protective of her children.

Dorinda was preceded in death by a son, Randall Graves of Waco; her parents, Mills and Mary Helen Dickson of Waco; and brother, Charles Dickson of Fort Worth.

Dorinda is survived by her four boys, Tommy Graves of Waco, Steve Turnage of Waco, Mike Parsons and wife Amy of Houston, Mitch Parsons and wife Kelly of Plano; sister, Vickey Causey of Greenville; 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and one great grandchild on the way. She also leaves behind her constant companion, “Tinkerbell”, who never left her side.

The family of wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the entire staff of Hillcrest Hospital for the care they gave Dorinda in her final days. They do God’s work on a daily basis. We are eternally grateful.
