Donald Jack Day, 73, of Kosse, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025 in Waco, surrounded by family and loved ones.
Funeral Service: 2PM Tuesday, February 11, at Rock Creek Church, 12640 Rock Creek Rd, Waco, TX 76708
Burial: Wortham Bend Cemetery in China Spring
Donald was born September 16, 1951, in San Angelo, Texas, to Tom Vandevanter and Rebecca Leola Christopher. Don was a hard-working man from the time he was young, working on his father’s ranch, all the way through adulthood, until retirement. Don married Linda Sue Clark on February 27, 1987. They were happily married for 39 years. Together, they raised their son, Mark, whom he loved very much. Don loved the Lord with all his heart, as well as his family and friends. He will be missed and his memory will be forever cherished.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Day; daughter, Donna Rebecca Hassel; sons, James Day, Donald Day and Mark Day; stepson, Dan Jenkins; stepdaughter, Wendy McMahn; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Pearl Connaly; uncle, Benjamin Christopher; and numerous other relatives.
