Donald (Don) Franklin, 65, passed away Friday, January 01, 2021 in Desoto, Texas.

Service Information: Memorial service will be 3:00 pm Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Lake Shore Funeral Home.

Donald (Don) Gene Franklin was born June 11, 1955 in Waco, Texas to the late Freddie L Franklin, Sr and Gladys L Franklin.

He attended school in the Waco Independent School District. In April of 1978 he married Sharon Rena Anderson.

Don was a fun and loving person. He never met a stranger. His hobbies included spending time with family and friends, watching Westerns and the Judge Mathis Show.

Don was preceded in death by his parents Freddie and Gladys Franklin; and one sister, Doris J Franklin.

He leaves to celebrate and cherish his memory: daughters Kimberly Curvey (Michael),Tylitha Parmes (Donald), and son Timothy Franklin; two brothers Freddie Franklin, Jr and Jimmie Franklin; grandchildren Sierra Rhodes, Aaliyah Driver Franklin,Kennedy Curvey, Michelle Rhodes, Timayia Franklin,Jasen Curvey, Tre’Marcus Franklin, Elijah Franklin; loving cousins Clifton and Via Jean Randolph, and a host of other relatives and friends.

  1. I’m Don’s First Cousin Tina , we grew up together and Don was the one you wanted on your Team when we was playing Ball , he could hit good and throw good. I remember him telling us this Story about the Lion ,Bear and the Tiger I think it was so funny that he had us on the Floor laughing. I will miss my Cousin. My Condolences and Prayers to his Family.

    Then came along Doris & Don I stayed with them a while . I will miss him
    However he is in a better place. I don’t really know my little cousins but God will take care of you all Love Y’all 🙏 Norma
