Dolan Moore, a life-time resident of Waco, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2014 surrounded by his family.

Dolan was born to Fred and Leona (McKelroy) Moore. After attending Waco High, Dolan entered into his family’s business, Moore’s Floor Covering. He later ventured into the food industry and owned and operated The Red Barn Restaurant in Bosqueville for 35 years.

Dolan is survived by his sister, Saundra Moore Wood of Waco; his niece, Michelle Wood Hodge, and her husband Ken of Waco; his nephew, Mike Wood and his wife Aimee of Waco; his great-niece and nephews, Kate Hodge, Peyton Hodge, Mason Hodge, Michael Wood, and Henry Wood; and extended family and many beloved friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Fuzzy Friends Rescue, Providence Hospice, or the charity of your choice.

    Dolan was a good friend and neighbor. He always honked when he drove by and we sat many a hour visiting on his porch. He loved our dog and would check on him when we were out of town. going to miss his smile and greeting.
