Dianne Zapata

January 30, 1960 – November 3, 2022

Dianne Zapata went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 3, 2022. She was a wonderful loving Wife of 39 years, Mother, Daughter, Grandmother “Momo”, and friend to many. Dianne passed surrounded by her daughters. Graveside services will be held on November 26, 2022, at Oakwood Cemetery at 10:00 a.m.

Dianne Zapata was born on January 30, 1960, in Clifton, Texas to Mack Guerra and Polly Mayhew. She started out her life with a bang, which is no surprise to anyone who knew her. In her younger years, she participated in many track and field events. Dianne spent many years as a Registered Nurse, and she was also a long time Partner with H-E-B. Later in life, she became a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Elm Mott, Texas. She enjoyed making lots of memories with her family, like spending her summers swimming with her grandchildren, teaching her daughters and grandchildren how to make her famous tamales and tortillas, and sharing all her wonderful life stories. Dianne had an amazingly contagious laugh that she shared so often with anyone willing to take part in her jokes. She was loving and nurturing by nature and would jump at the sight to help anyone in need. Dianne loved to show off her moves to Cumbias, no matter if it was on the dance floor or in her kitchen. She had the most captivating smile that we will all remember as time goes on. Dianne was loved by many friends and family and will be tremendously missed.

We send our condolences and pray for the peace and strength to the entire Zapata-Guerra family. Dianne was an extraordinary lady. She was a fierce mother and a strong force when it came to defending her family. I loved catching up with her when I saw her. She always spoke so kind about her girls whom she was also so very proud of. Because of her mama bear love, she was able to share some of her love to me when I was younger and in much need of guidance. I will always be grateful to her and she will be thought of always! It was an honor to have known her and look forward to seeing her in our heavenly paradise! 🙏🏽

  10. Prayers and condolences to all the family. May GOD give you comfort and peace during this trying time. My prayers are with you all.

  11. With great empathy, I offer a Godly love to all who experience the loss of such a selfless, considerate, loving, gentle, heartfilled soul. She was one of the best friends anyone could ever imagine having. Her honesty, sharing and giving personality were warm and inviting. She never met a stranger, because to her everyone had a purpose and she instantly put them in her heart. Loss time could never be changed, but our friendship always remained the same. May God be with the family, as Dianne is now their angel.

  12. My heart breaks. My deepest condolences to my family. She definitely filled the room with her love. My mom Julie Gomez loved her dearly, they are reunited with my Tia Polly and that brings great joy to my heart. God be with you.. Prayers for all. 🙏🏻
