Dianna Flanagan

On Friday April 13,2018 Dianna Flanagan was called by our good Lord to go home. Obedient to him, as requested, she answered. Dianna was born September 1, 1948 in Brooklyn New York. She moved and lived in many states before calling Texas home. She spent her relaxation time on her computer doing puzzles and playing her favorite games. She enjoyed the days when home was filled with loved ones. The contagious laughter and aroma of homemade cooking that always filled the air, also filled her heart with great joy.

In 2005, her battle with Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma began. She began and completed many treatments during this period. She recently began a new battle, lung cancer. After lots of payers, thoughts, and consideration Dianna made a decision that would not only change her life but also the lives of loved ones. Treatment was no longer an option she desired. She decided to be joyful of the full life she had already lived. She decided to continue doing such with those who surrounded her.

Dianna was a member of and was baptized at New Vision Family Fellowship. She touched and changed the lives of many Brothers and Sisters whom dearly loved her. Had it not been for her speaking up and asking about a Women’s Retreat, there would not have been one. It just so happened that the first day of the retreat, our Lord had yet a different purpose for her. Although her presence at the retreat was missing by all her Sisters, her spirit was felt all around.

Dianna is preceded in death by her sister Johanna Philpott. She is survived by her Son, Vincent and his wife Mary; Daughter, Tischa and her husband Brian; and 2 others. She was loved and is already missed by her 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Mom, when you closed your eyes and soared into heaven, I could hear the faint flutter of your wings as you ascended. Home at last in the arms of our Heavenly Father, Rest in Peace. You will always be in our hearts and we will forever love you.
