John and I were buddies from Central Christian Church in Waco. While we both attended La Vega High School we rarely saw each other at school because of our schedules. I learned of John’s passing just a couple of months ago on a whim of a Google search and was really saddened. John even flew out to Abilene to visit with me sometime prior to my retirement. I had the honor of knowing his mom and Dad during our church attendance. I am grateful to have know John and to have had him among my few friends. I hope for kindness and blessings for his wife and family. May you rest in peace old friend. Vaya con Dios.
