
Deborah Ann Perez, 61, of Waco, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on January 28, 2025.
Visitation: 6pm to 7pm Friday, February 7th at Lake Shore Funeral Home with an evening funeral service beginning at 7pm.
Funeral Service: 10am Saturday, February 8th at Lake Shore Funeral Home.
Debbie was born May 27, 1963 in Waco to Joe Ray and Gloria Torres. She married the love of her life, Robert Perez, on January 7, 2010, and they were married for 15 years. Debbie was blessed with two daughters and three sons, five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She was a member of New Life Praise Center, where she was involved in numerous church activities throughout the years. Debbie was also a member of Faith Walk Fellowship, where she was a youth leader. She belonged to a close-knit circle of friends who would get together, go out of town, go out to eat, have parties at each other’s houses, celebrate birthdays and holidays and enjoy each other’s company. She attended these functions until she was not able anymore. Debbie loved her Hna. Group and was blessed as her Hna. sisters continued to visit Debbie even after she was bed bound. Debbie was an exemplary employee of WISD where she was a discipline clerk and PEIMS clerk for 18 years. She enjoyed watching Texas Rangers baseball along with her love for Texas Longhorns football “Hook’em Horns”. She also enjoyed watching The Waltons and Little House on The Prairie, along with several classic TV and B/W movies. She also loved listening to her Christian music and spending time with her family and friends.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Robert Perez; daughter, Jennifer Rodwell; son, Christopher Torres and wife Melissa; daughter, Jessica Morales and husband,Paul Macedo; sons, Daniel Perez and Nathaniel Perez; grandchildren, Mikayla Rodwell, Kharma Rodwell, Jordan Torres, Malani Macedo and Esperanza Macedo; great grandchildren, Anikio Rodwell and Malcai Rodwell; sister, Veronica Burke and husband Dallas; nieces, Madison Burke, Emily Kirwan and husband Jared; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rebecca Chapa, Conrad and Edna Perez, Ruben and Connie Perez, Rachel Ramirez, Ruth and Jesse Barron; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Debbie was a sassy, life of the party, funny, intelligent, strong and God-fearing woman who was a devoted wife and mother. Debbie made an impact on everyone she met, and she will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed. The family would like to thank Trixie Simmons for her devoted time ministering to Debbie, in addition to her nurses, Gabby, Laurie, Amanda and Shelby, and caregivers, Jessica, Rachel, Ruth, Connie, Becky, Andy, Irene, Meredith and Nell.

So saddened to hear about Debbie. We served on PTA at North Waco Elementary School when our children went there as President and Vice President of PTA. Debbie was such a wonderful and likable person. She will truly be missed. God Bless the family.
