Deborah Kay Tobola, 54, of Lacy Lakeview, was called home Monday, January 14, 2013. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at home. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 3pm, Thursday, January 17 at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco. Debbie was born on June 24, 1958 to James and Charlene Terry of Waco. She married Joe Tobola on August 14, 1976. Joe and Debbie shared 36 years of marriage and raised 5 beautiful children.

Debbie was a very caring person who never met a stranger. She had a heart full of love and will be missed dearly by her friends and family.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, David Terry.

She is survived by her husband Joe; her daughters, Annie Salinas and husband Richard, Melissa Vaughn and Husband Steven, Jennifer Quick and husband Matt, and Katie Monaghan; her son, Lawrence Monaghan; grandchildren Steven, Allie, Caleb, and Braydon; sisters Jamie Tindell, Cindy Monaghan, and Kathie Williams; brother, Doug Terry; special sister in law, Cynthia Klepper; and numerous family members and loved ones.

  16. I last saw Debbie at Lindsey Teague Jones baby shower. We picked up right where we left off many years earlier. It was wonderful. Debbie was one of those people who touched my heart in a special way. She was a touchstone for so many in the Connally ISD family – especially loving my two daughters as if they were her own. Heaven has truly received an angel!
