Chief!! I will miss you so much!! I always looked for you at church and loved just to see you! You always made me smile.. and when you called me smiley it made me laugh.. I was so sorry to read of Big Dave’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family at this difficult time.

Chief Swinson can be best described as a charismatic leader. He accomplished much through his ability to communicate with and motivate people. He certainly could have been an accomplished political leader, but he was very unassuming, humble and caring. At the same time he was an exceptionally gifted entrepreneur with amazing business acumen. He brought a special light to my life. It was a special event to have the opportunity to make a road trip and listen to his philosophy that would be accepted in any university classroom. But most important for me was his deep rooted values and appreciation of life. There is a light that has departed this earth, but through his lessons he lives on in our hearts.

We will miss Chief. He has been such a gift to our journey here on this earth. Much love to the Swinson family. Our hope is in Jesus.

Penny & Family – you are in my prayers. I have seen David for the past several years at BSF, but never had him in my group until this year. He was such a blessing to us all. Despite his disability, he was focused on a closer relationship with Christ. His witness was an inspiration to our entire group. Although he was already a Christian when I met him, it was a joy to see him continuing to grow in Christ each week. Although selfishly we all will miss him, there is no doubt where he is today.

My Chief… I miss you so much already… I have so many good memories of you & Penny. I’ll never forget the time we worked at the juvenile center together and one of the guards was flirting with me… You and Penny let the poor man have it…!!! Lol… Thank you so much for protecting and loving me and Victor. My heart hurts for the family…and for myself…But I am comforted in knowing that you are with JESUS and you will save a place for me…!!! Penny and Corey, I know this has been a long road for all of you. He was a wonderful man and a super COP!! I will never forget the time you brough soup to Charlie and my son Jonathan was there and said man he is a BIG COP! He was just a small thing back then when we started the video store. Love all of your family. He is at peace.
