Danny Ray Rowell, 89, joined his loving wife, Joyce, in heaven on March 7, 2025.

Visitation:  6pm to 8pm Wednesday, March 12th at Lake Shore Funeral Home

Funeral:  11am Thursday, March 13th at Bosqueville Baptist Church

Interment:  Bosqueville Cemetery

Danny was born to Jack and Jacqueline Rowell on January 24, 1936, in Teague, Tx. He graduated from University High School in Waco in 1955. Upon graduation Danny joined the U.S. Navy, and in June of 1956, he married his high school sweetheart, Joyce Koch. They started their married life in San Diego, CA., and returned to Waco upon his discharge to raise their family.  Danny worked at General TV Sales and Service until he and Joyce opened their own shop, Dan’s TV, in1976. They operated the shop for 37 years until Dan retired in 2013. He was a lifetime member of Bosqueville Baptist Church, where he served the Lord faithfully until his final days. He will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor, sharp wit and generosity. During his life his passions were fishing, stock car racing, gardening and Baylor Women’s Basketball.

Danny was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Koch Rowell; parents, Jack & Jackie Rowell; and brother, Woodie Rowell.

He is survived by his daughter, Deanna Garon & husband Craig; son, Steve Rowell & wife Cathie; brother, Tommy Rowell & wife Sally; grandchildren, Stacy Herrin & husband Brent, Amy Garon, Brandon Rowell & wife Clarissa, Eric Rowell & girlfriend Anya Singh, and Adam Rowell & wife Caycee; great grandchildren, Logan Toole, Abby Laine, Roy Bernal, Luke Rowell, Danielle Rowell, Ashlin Rowell, and Evan Rowell, as well as a large extended family.

Memorial gifts may be made to Bosqueville Baptist Church.
