Curtis Rodriguez, 76, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2011, surrounded by loved ones. Funeral services will be 2PM Saturday, April 30th at Bible Way Church, 2800 Gurley in Waco with Rev. Charles Rodriquez officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8PM Friday, April 29th with a prayer service to begin at 7PM at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco. Curtis was born April 30, 1934, in Marlin, Texas, to Jose Rodriguez and Natalia (Ordas) Rodriguez. He married Linda Darline LaMont on January 21, 1995, in Waco. Curtis was a retired truck driver for Transit Mix Concrete. He worked 49 years for the same company, serving Waco and the surrounding areas. He was Nationwide Ready-Mix, Division Truck Driver of the Year Winner in 2005, and 1st runner up in 2004.

Curtis was preceded in death by his loving parents; brother, Trinidad Rodriguez; and brother-in-law, Gilbert Ochoa, and many friends.

Survivors include wife, Linda Darline Rodriguez, sons, Curtis Jr. and wife Lenora; Ricky Rodriguez and wife Yolanda; Louis Rodriguez and wife Renee; Albert Rodriguez and wife Carol; Johnny Rivera and wife Sophia, Charles Rodriquez and wife Beatrice, and Richard LaMont; daughters, Linda Hernandez and husband Jesse, Lydia Rodriguez and George Wilson, and Gloria Aviles; sister, Ricarda Ochoa; sister-in-law, Julie Rodriguez; twenty-six grandchildren; and twenty-six great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jesse Hernandez, Elijah Hernandez, Albert Curtis Rodriguez, Gilbert Ochoa, Erik Ramirez, Sammy Gonzalez, Julian Rios, and Shawn Zamora. Honorary pallbearers are Clarence Smith, Raymond Tobias, Jimmy Timmons, and Vince Whitely.
