Cheryl Lynn Hout, 64, of Hewitt, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 25, 2018.

Memorial Service: 3PM Wednesday, January 31st at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel.

Cheryl was born March 26, 1953 in Akron, Ohio. She graduated from Norton High School in 1971. Cheryl moved to Texas where she received her Associates degree from McLennan Community College in 2011. For the past 11 years, she has resided in Hewitt with her “bubba” and was the store manager at Kent Kwik. She loved her family, her job, the beach, traveling, friends, butterflies, and Peeps.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Yvonne Casto of Akron, Ohio and “brother”, John (JB) Bradford of Hewitt.

She is survived by her sister, Rebecca Stokes and husband David of Wilmington, North Carolina; her nieces, Kristin Calloway, Marla and Rachel Motz; her “bubba,” Jimmy Gollihar Sr. of Hewitt; niece, Amanda Stanford and husband Justin; nephew, Jimmy Gollihar, Jr.; great niece, Abigail Warden; and great nephews, Jordan Stanford, Carter Overcasher and Mason Overcasher.

Today a butterfly flew by me I thought to myself where have you been little butterfly I just seen you the other day you flittered your wings towards me as if to say goodbye as you headed towards the horizon you look happy and content as you went on your way as if to say to me don’t worry I’ll be okay I’m sad to see you go for you touch my life my heart in such a way when I see another butterfly or Horizon I will always remember our friendship today I will plant flowers so you will always have a place to visit me I look forward to that visit my butterfly friend I will miss you until then

  4. I am so very sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one in death is such a difficult thing to experience. Please be comforted by the promises in the Bible. Jesus tells us at John 5:28, 29 that all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out. What a loving provision put in place by the God of all comfort so we can have the assured hope of seeing our dead loved ones live again one day.
