Chef James “Bradley” Balch

Chef James “Bradley” Balch, of Clifton was called home to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, July 25, 2020.

Service Information: A memorial service will be held at 2PM Saturday, August 1, at First United Methodist Church in Clifton, TX.

Bradley was born October 29, 1959 with the ‘Gift of Gab’. He could entertain any kind of conversation with anyone as he never met a stranger.

Bradley received an Associates Degree from Texas A&M.  Bradley’s first passion in life was music.  He was part of the Texas Music Scene for over 20 years and is known for being a singer and songwriter with a love of acoustic guitars. Bradley taught music and was part of a Music Therapy Program for several facilities throughout Texas. He was also involved with the music and choir program at his church, First United Methodist in Clifton.

In 2005, Bradley decided to pursue his second passion and obtained his Culinary Arts Degree.  Bradley had a knack for BBQ, smoked meat and created his own line of signature sauces and rubs.  He was also a superb pastry chef.

In July of 2015, Bradley met Connie and the two were united in matrimony in January of 2016.

Bradley was preceded in death by parents, James Rabon Balch and Virginia Annette Moore; and brother, Blake Clark Balch.

He is survived by wife, Connie Balch of Clifton; aunt, Gina Baize and husband James of Gatesville; Bailey Balch of Colorado.

Bradley was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
