Charles William Jefferson, Sr., 50, of Waco, passed away Saturday, May 9th.

Memorial Services:
2PM Tuesday, May 19th at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel.

Charles Jefferson was born on December 3, 1964 in Columbus Ohio.

He attended and graduated from East High School. He then joined the U. S. Army where he served and received an honorable discharge. He met and married Rashonda Miller-Jefferson on June 20, 1991. He then moved to Waco in 1993. Charles worked for Trane, Paragon, Office Depot, Mrs Baird’s and Coca Cola.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Evelyn (Johnson) Jefferson; and brother, Andrew Jefferson, Jr.

Survivors include wife of 23 years, Rashonda Jefferson; children, DeCedreon Miller, Jestan Hopkins, Charles Jefferson, Jr., Mariah Coomes, and Andrelyn Jefferson; grandchildren, Alia, Jestin, Jordyn, Myasia, Icherish; sisters, Evelyn Ann Forest, Betty Williams, and Michele Green; and a host of relatives and many friends.

The family acknowledges a special thank you to close friends and Charles’ co-workers for their support and prayers.

  6. I didn’t know that I’d have to say goodbye to you so fast I’m so numb, I can’t feel anymore. Prayin’ you’d just walk back through that door and tell me that I was only dreamin. You’re not really gone as long as I believe. Your love lives on inside of me, and I will hold on tight . It’s not my place to question, only God knows why. You always made my troubles feel so small and you were always there to catch me when I’d fall. In a world where heroes come and go well God just took the only one I know . So I’ll hold you as close as I can. Longing for the day, when I see your face again
