Charles Edward Lee, Jr.

Charles Edward Lee, Jr. was born in Waco, Texas in 1952 to Charles and Bettie Lee where he attended Barron Springs Elementary, A. J. Moore High, and Waco High schools. As a child, Charles’s early curiosity about what made things work and his enjoyment of Boy Scouts was an early indication that his was a future that would involve using both his mind and hands.

Charles attended technical training schools for cablevision and commercial construction in California and in Utah.As a cablevision contractor,he worked from California to Texas with his team installing cable. He also worked with various commercial construction companies until he suffered a career ending injury to his back.

Charles was a loving son, father, brother, cousin, and friend who had a giving heart. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son Richard.

Charles leaves to cherish his memory: three sons  — Charles II (Veronica) (grandchildren Julian, Alizabeth, Christopher, Charlize, and Alexander), Arthur (Vanessa) (grandchildren Xavier, Chris, Mathew, Janessa and Kendrick), Sam (granddaughter Eboni), a daughter  — Jean Nicole (TedArchuleta) (grandchildren Tyson, Isaiah, and Alivia), and daughter –in-law Janie and grandson Richard; five brothers — Larry, Frank (Susan), Craig, Victor (Karen), Kevin (Lucinda); one sister Bettie (Ramsey Beard); a special niece – Adrienne DuBose and sixteen additional loving/cherished nieces and nephews; four great-grandchildren; two maternal aunts Ruth Raspberry and Barbara Howard; and a host of loving cousins and friends.

Service Information: A memorial service for Charles was held on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at The Clifton House at 2600 Austin Avenue.

Final funeral arrangements were entrusted to Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend, Waco Texas 76710
