Charlene Walters, 73, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at a Waco nursing center. Visitation will be 6 to 8PM Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend, Waco. Kansas funeral services will be 1PM Saturday, October 3rd at Bucklin Cemetery with Dr. Gary Winget officiating.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Walters; and her parents, Gordon and Beatrice Van Voorhis.
Survivors include daughter, Debbie Schreiber of Waco, TX and her son, John Schreiber of Covington, TX; daughter, Sheryl Fernandez and husband, Jerry and their daughter, Emerald, all of Brownwood, TX.
Memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Awareness.
