Caswell Darwin Vickers III

Caswell Darwin Vickers III, 67,of Navarro Mills, went home to be with our Lord on April 12, 2019 in Waco, Texas.

Service Information: A memorial celebration will be held at 12:00 noon Sunday, April 28, at the Harrison Center in Waco. This will be a time of fellowship, remembrance and food.

Cas was born in Houston on April 14, 1951 and was raised by his mother and father, along with his three sisters. Cas served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1973. He met his one and only love in 1975 and spent 44 years together raising three children and spending life together. He enjoyed his work and spent his career in Houston as an engineering draftsman in the oil & gas industry.

He was a family man who enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing games and spending quality time with his family. Cas was generous, humorous, intelligent and always provided for his family.

He joins in Heaven his father, Caswell Darwin Vickers II; and mother, Evangeline Martha Hale.

He leaves behind his wife, Ruth Ann (Nichols) Vickers; children,  Elic Fouts, James Fouts and wife, Karla and Casi Young and husband, Christopher; grandchildren, Jodie Darwin Fouts, McKenzie Ray Fouts, and Samuel Caz Young; great-children, Gideon Ray Fouts and Braylee Ann Paslay; and numerous nieces and nephews.

  2. I just now found this notice about Cas. I’ve looked for him over the years and just couldn’t find him online. He was a good friend when we were in the Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton, CA. He was in the S2 intelligence/scout snipers section. I was in S3. I had a motorcycle and we use to ride all over southern California together. I was separated from active duty in 1972 and he a year later. Lost contact with him and feel sorry I didn’t get to catch up with him in the years that followed. Great man, good friend. David E.
