Carolyn “Sue” Anderson, 79, of China Spring, was welcomed home by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Friday, March 19, 2021 at St. Catherine Center in Waco
Visitation: 12:00 noon Saturday, March 27, at Lake Shore Funeral Home
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 27, at Lake Shore Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Copeland officiating
Burial: China Spring Cemetery

Sue was born May 3, 1941 in Dallas to Nat and Estelle Wooten. Within the same year, her family moved to Baytown and then back to Cedar Springs where she began attending elementary school. After seven years in Cedar Springs, her family moved to Waco where she attended school until her graduation from University High School in 1959. After graduation, she studied to be a lab technician and worked for many years at the Children’s Clinic of Waco and also for Dr. Ross. She also worked in the dental offices of Dr. Steven Cutbirth and Dr. James E. McGregor.
Sue married Earl Anderson, August 20, 1960, in Waco. They had two sons, Brian and Kevin, whom she loved dearly and cherished. Sue loved the Lord and was always a faithful church member. But more importantly, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior knowing that His shed blood was the only true way of salvation.Through the years, she was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Western Heights Baptist Church, and most recently First Baptist Church of China Spring where she was a member for 40 years. Sue was a wonderful wife, mother, and Nana to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She never failed to always put the Lord first, her family second, friends next, and herself last. She was a prayer warrior and also a caregiver for several members of her family. Sue was also a supporter of several Christian charities. She was a very special lady indeed, and her love for others was always evident. She could get along with practically anyone, unless they were unkind to her family, or, if Dish Network wasn’t carrying a Baylor basketball game. The kinds of deeds she performed for others were not of the sort that brought fame and recognition, but rather the kind that honored the Lord and others. She will have many jewels in her crown.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 42 years, Earl; and her brother, Terry Wooten.
She is survived by her son, Brian and wife, Andrea; her son, Kevin and wife, Sheila; grandchildren, Ashli Kubista and husband, Kyle, Jennifer Gibbs and husband, Brandon and Cody Anderson; great-grandchildren, Karson, Elias and Adeline Kubista, and Collyns and Callen Gibbs; one uncle, Charles Cox and wife, Rita; and along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of longtime friends.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the many acts of kindness and prayers and for the compassionate medical care Sue received during her illness.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of China Spring.

Condolences for the family of “Carolyn Sue Anderson”
Sue Anderson was a joy to be around. She and Earl showed so much energy in living for the Lord each day. They were like a second set of Grandparents for my children who dearly loved them. Sue was always uplifting, encouraging, and ready to share her Jesus. Our hearts are heavy with loss, but full of joy as we know she joins her family in the presence of Jesus.
God bless Brian, Kevin, and their families.
In all of her trials Sue knew her Lord was with her, and she witnessed her faith steadfastly. In all the deaths we helped her with she knew they all were now with their Savior. God welcomed you home Sue, live and peace, Dr Mo
Brian, Andrea, Kevin and Sheila — Sue was a special lady. She was always so welcoming and sweet to all the knothead kids they always had over to their house. We go back a long way, back to the little red barn before the big house was finished, fishing at Jumpers lake and riding motorcycles. You all have mine and Kathryn’s deepest condolences and prayers. She’s at home now and back with Earl and no telling what they are already up too. Love Y’all.
I am so sorry for you loss, she was an absolutely wonderful lady. I remember how welcoming she was when Leslie and I went down to meet her about 28 years ago. She made us feel right at home. We’re praying for y’all.
Sue was an extraordinary lady that stole the heart of anyone she met. She was giving, kind, unselfish and would share the shirt off her back if you needed it. She had a wonderful gift of hospitality and deeply loved for her husband and children. She was vivacious and loved to dress colorfully which represented her personality. The earth will miss this special angel.

To know Sue Anderson was to love her! She had a heart of pure gold! She lived her Christian faith each and every day! Jesus was her Savior and oh how she loved Jesus!! The way we will always remember Sue is with a heart full of giving, kindness, hospitality and love! You could not ask for a better friend and we will always cherish the memories and good times we had! She is now with her Lord and Savior singing with the angels! Sue was a blessing to us all and we will miss her dearly but know that we will see her again!!! Thank you God for giving us Sue Anderson! What a precious gift she was to all of our family!!
