Caroline Parsons, 69, of Waco passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Ascension Seton Main Hospital in Austin, Texas. She was born in Knox City, TX.

She was proceeded in death by brothers, Rusty Burkett, Dean Burkett, and Earl Burkett; and her mother, Peggy (Peterson) Volker.

She is survived by her three sons, Kerry Flenniken of Waco, Tim Flenniken of Kyle, and Shaun Gaskamp and wife Charlotte of Olney; brothers, Donald Fox of Kerens, James Burkett and wife, Mildred of Crawford; sisters, Darlene McNiel and husband, Larkin of Moody, Kathy Mathis and husband, David of Whitney; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and numerous friends.

Caroline had several careers that included cosmetology, insurance examination, and substitute teaching for Waco ISD for many years. Her passions included her family and volunteering for several groups to assist in rescuing feral cats.

Memorial will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at China Spring United Methodist Church, 12301 Yankie Rd., China Spring, TX at 1:00 p.m. with family and friends fellowship to follow (Masks requested but, not required due to Covid).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her honor to Fuzzy Friends Rescue of Waco, ABC Clinic of Waco, Humane Society of Central Texas, or your local ASPCA.
