Camille Hood Riley, 83, of Waco went to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 27, 2020.
She was born to the late Cameron and Margaret Hood of Belzoni, MS, May 8, 1937. She is preceded in death by her sister Margaret Hood Coleman. She graduated from Belzoni High School in 1955 then attended Baylor University. She married the late Gordon Lee Riley in August 1958.
Camille is survived by her three children, Kimberly Riley of Amarillo, Elizabeth Riley of Brenham, and Cameron Riley of Waco. She is survived by four grandchildren, Brandon Riley, Brittany Riley, Andrew Rollins, and Kate Rollins Young; niece, Ann Coleman Thames of Brandon, MS; nephews, Jon Wellborn and Gary Wellborn; and her sister, Elizabeth Hood Hall of Austin.
Camille (Skip) had many passions from riding horses, sports, organizing events, entertaining, cooking, playing dominos. She especially loved playing board games and golfing with her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, especially to their mountain home in Angel Fire, NM. She was actively involved with the Waco Symphony Women’s Council Horse Show, her church and Young Life. She was one of the Golden Girls, from the Belzoni High School Class of 1955, a group of girls all born in 1937, who have stayed in touch throughout their entire lives having reunions around the country.
She will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery next to her husband Gordon Lee Riley.
The family will gather for a private memorial at a future time.

Dear family of Camille, You probably don’t know me, but I remember your mother fondly.
Curtis and I were in the “84” group with the Dunhams, Murffs, Brackens, others, and your parents.
Most of those couples have lost one or both of their members. We had lots of fun with
our very competitive games. Curtis (my husband) and I arrived in Waco from Arkansas in
1974, and we had never heard of 42, or 84. We discovered it was sort of a rites of passage
in Texas to learn to play dominoes. This group has been a blessing to us through the years.
We will be praying for your comfort, and strength as you relinquish your earthly parents to the Lord. Blessings!
Kimberly, Elizabeth and Cameron, So sorry to hear of your loss. We have fond memories of both your mom and dad as we shared many great times together whether it be rounds of golf, dominoes or trips to New Mexico. Your mom’s southern charm in her voice was unmistakable. They were quite the couple and their meeting each other at Baylor was meant to be!
